Piano Solo - SKU: A0.1337366 By Dirk Chan. By Gabriel Faure. Arranged by Dirk Chan. 19th Century,Christmas,Classical,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 5 pages. Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd #923181. Published by Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd (A0.1337366). Faure Pavane in F Sharp Minor Op.50 Arranged for Solo Piano is my arrangement of this beautiful work by Gabriel Fauré with that wonderful melody that is haunting, ethereal and memorable. The Pavane was first performed in 1888 in its orchestral version, with a version with choir appearing a few days later. The dotted notes give the famous melody a lovely sense of movement and lilt and the harmonies are romantic and nostalgic, and has made this piece so popular and well loved, and has inspired Pavanes by other composers including Debussy and Ravel. Faure's harmonies move from familiar places with a development section that eventually emerges in A major which feels like alien territory. Nevertheless the harmonies are beautiful, comforting and nostalgic. There are a few deceptive cadences including the B dominant 7th chord near the conclusion before a return to the tonic in F Sharp Minor. This piece is wonderful to play and listen to. Enjoy!

Piano Solo - SKU: A0.1161232 By Dirk Chan. By Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Dirk Chan. Baroque,Classical,Religious,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 2 pages. Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd #761567. Published by Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd (A0.1161232). Bach Air on the G String from Orchestral Suite No.3 in D Major BWV 1068 arrangement for piano solo is a wonderful piece full of serenity. It is one of the most well loved works of Johann Sebastian Bach. It feels romantic and has poise and tenderness, so characteristic of the slow movements of Bach. The gorgeous melody is accompanied by a basso continuo accompaniment that almost like the heartbeat of this piece. You can also see my performance video of this arrangement. This arrangement for solo piano is a wonderful way to experience this piece as a soloist. Enjoy.

Piano Solo - SKU: A0.1185492 By Dirk Chan. By Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Dirk Chan. Classical. Score. 3 pages. Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd #785167. Published by Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd (A0.1185492). Beethoven Piano Concerto No.4 2nd Movement Op.58 Andante Con Moto arranged for solo piano is a wonderful piece of music. It is dramatic and tender at the same time as the piano solo parts contrast evocatively with the orchestral parts to create one of the most atmospheric slow movements by Ludwig van Beethoven. The solo piano part starts in minor, and has a melancholy that is so poignant. The second phrase appears and it is in major for a just a moment before it returns to minor. This piece is a wonderful experience to play this piano and orchestral piece as a piano soloist. Enjoy.

Piano Solo - SKU: A0.1161228 By Dirk Chan. By Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Dirk Chan. Baroque,Classical,Religious,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 2 pages. Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd #761563. Published by Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd (A0.1161228). Bach's Largo from Piano Concerto No.5 in F Minor BWV 1056 is a most beautiful piece of music by Johann Sebastian Bach, and this is my arrangement for solo piano. This Largo is tender and has a bittersweet feel, and feels to me like a personal statement from Bach. It is one of my favourite pieces of music by Bach for piano. The structure of this piece contains the emotional content wonderfully as is the case of music by Bach. You can also see my performance video of this arrangement. This arrangement for solo piano is a wonderful way to experience this piece as a soloist. Enjoy.

Piano Solo - SKU: A0.1337362 By Dirk Chan. By Gabriel Faure. Arranged by Dirk Chan. 19th Century,Classical,Religious,Romantic Period,Sacred. Score. 4 pages. Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd #923178. Published by Dirk Chan Music Pty Ltd (A0.1337362). Libera Me from Faure Requiem in D Minor Op.48 Arranged for Solo Piano is my arrangement of this beautiful work by Gabriel Fauré. Written from 1887 to 1900, the requiem originally for baritone, soprano, choir, organ and orchestra contains the Libera Me, which begins with a pulsing baseline, haunting melody by the baritone, with harmonies of Faure filled with nostalgia and romanticism. The middle section chorale is a brief interlude before a forte section followed by a return of the pulsing baseline to invite in the return of the melody and first subject, to a soft finish. This piece is a wonderful journey, one of the most beautiful works by Faure and the romantic classical music era, and wonderful to play and listen to. Enjoy!

B-Flat Trumpet,Piano - Level 1 - SKU: A0.1182594 By Dirk Quinn Band. By Charles Borrelli and Roger Courtland. Arranged by Marcony Carvalho. 20th Century,Classical,March. Score and part. 2 pages. Zedas Couve #782339. Published by Zedas Couve (A0.1182594). The Eagles' Victory Song was the creation of Charles Borrelli and Richard Courtland Harrison, a Washington, D.C. music teacher and arranger for jazz guitarist Charlie Byrd. The song was mistakenly credited to R. Courtland by the Copyright office and in various editions of Eagles programs from the late 1950s through the 1960s.In 1963, Jerry Wolman purchased the Philadelphia Eagles. Wolman was a sports fan growing up and loved hearing the Washington Redskins' fight song Hail to the Redskins at games. Spawning from his admiration for the Redskins' song, Wolman searched for musicians to implement a team song for the Eagles, and founded The Philadelphia Eagles' Sound of Brass band in 1964. The group included 200 musicians and dancers, and was led by Arlen Saylor, who was appointed as the Eagles' entertainment director in 1966 and is credited with penning an arrangement of the fight song that the band played at home games during halftime in the 1960s. Wolman's push to popularize the fight song flew under the radar, however, and in 1969 the Sound of Brass band was discontinued. The song came back into light in 1997, when Bobby Mansure, founder of an unofficial Eagles pep band, asked team management to allow the band to play in the parking lot during home games. Management gave Mansure's pep band an audition, allowing them to play at two preseason games to gauge fan reaction. The song went over so well that Mansure and the band retained a permanent position as the official Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band.In 1998, following Mansure's reintroduction of the song, Eagles management attempted to rebuild its popularity among fans by changing some aspects of the song: they modified the key, changed the opening lyric from Fight, Eagles Fight to Fly, Eagles Fly, and re-marketed the song with that as the title. In addition, they appended the popular E-A-G-L-E-S chant—which had emerged in the 1980s—to the end of the song. While management planned to play the song throughout the 1998 season, the Eagles' poor performance that year caused them to hold off reintroducing the song until the following year. The Eagles fared better during their 1999 season, and subsequently, the fight song was played after every score.

The Eagles fared better during their 1999 season, and subsequently, the fight song was played after every score.

Easy Piano - Level 1 - SKU: A0.1180746 By Dirk Quinn Band. By Charles Borrelli and Roger Courtland. Arranged by Marcony Carvalho. 20th Century,Classical,Historic,Patriotic,Pop. Score. 1 pages. Zedas Couve #780613. Published by Zedas Couve (A0.1180746). Arranged by Rob Bushnell. Contemporary,Film/TV. Brass Band. 28 pages. RBMusic #3570265. Published by RBMusic (A0.752332). The A-Team is an American television series that ran from 1983 to 1987. It opens with the infamous narration: ‘In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.’ The show revolves around four members of the fictitious United States Army Special Forces unit. These are the leader Colonel/Colonel John Hannibal Smith (played by George Peppard), smooth-talking Lieutenant Templeton Peck or Face (Dirk Benedict), pilot Captain H.M. Howling Mad Murdock (Dwight Schultz) and mechanic Sergeant First Class Bosco B.A. Baracus (Mr. T). The main theme was composed by Mike Post and Pete Carpenter, although the version they created was not the same as the theme heard on-screen (which is what this arrangement is of). The theme has been ranked among the best TV themes every written. Interesting, the French version of the theme has lyrics that mirror the spoken description of the English version of the show. In 2010, 20th Century Fox released a feature film based on the series starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson and Sharlto Copley as the A-Team. Alan Silvestri composed the soundtrack. This arrangement of the Main Theme is for the UK-style brass band, with alternative parts for piccolo trumpet, horns in F and bass-clef lower brass. It has been designed to work just as well for indoor performances as outdoor concerts. It also has the band parts reduced down to march-card size for use with a lyre as well as a music stand (making it ideal for events such as Durham Miners' Gala). A recording from the original soundtrack can be found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MVonyVSQoM.
